FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
A serial entrepreneur, Karine is the proud Founder & President of Influence + All Management; she has an innate ability to turn her passions into successful and thriving businesses and continues to be a source of inspiration to her team as a person of leadership while always maintaining a warm, welcoming, and open-armed approach to everything she does: be that with clients, team members, friends, and beyond.
Having graduated from English Literature at Concordia University, Karine decided to sell her car and fulfil her dream of working in PR in New York City: a short lived affair, as the hustle and bustle of the big city was finally not her dream come to life! Returning to Montreal, following various in-house PR roles notably at Mackage & Lise Watier and a three-year career as Social Media & Communications Manager at L’Oreal Canada, Karine decided to take a leap of faith and leave the corporate world for the startup world – and thus, founded her first company, Stop & Stare PR. Soon after that, she began taking note of the rate in which her clients wanted to utilize influencers into their PR strategies and decided to launch an influencer management division: in 2016, Influence + All Management was born, and was among the first influencer management agencies in North America. Since launching the agency out of her apartment and working out of cafés throughout the city with just one hire, Karine quickly spearheaded the business into a fully operating firm with several employees; a decorated and sought-after roster spread throughout Canada, the United States and Eruope; and (finally) a beautiful office.
On the day-to-day, you will find Karine leading projects; going to client meetings; planning client events, activations and organizing various productions; liaising with her team on the status of accounts; identifying new business development opportunities; forecasting; and the list goes on.
Karine has landed coverage in digital and broadcast outlets including CJAD Today’s Entrepreneur, PR Couture, appeared as a speaker at Fvckup Nights and Unplug, and is nominated for RBC’s Women of Influence Award 2020.
A lover of anything creative and operational, JJ is I+AM’s Agency Director and Karine Idrissi’s right hand. Having been with the agency since 2016, she has worn many hats and continues to contribute to the company’s growth and success.
First starting her PR journey in 2011 as a summer job at her family’s lifestyle & fashion public relations agency –coordinating events, putting together press kits, writing press releases, making media lists, managing sample loans, organizing press tours, etc. – JJ unexpectedly fell in love with the industry and turned her summer job into a career, and thus, landed her first PR role as an Account Coordinator. During her time in this position, JJ also helped develop an online platform which took traditional & daily PR efforts and automated them – it was with this experience that her love affair with traditional PR and the digital world began! Throughout her years in PR, she has worked on various accounts such as BCBGMaxAzria, Le Château, Armani Exchange, Daniele Henkel, L'Oréal Professionnel, Experience Old Montreal, and Reitmans, to name a few.
JJ has been with Influence + All since day one, after meeting with Karine who introduced her to the idea of starting a management agency for bloggers – a totally new concept at the time. The two instantly became inseparable and were the first two team members of I+AM! Working part-time as a coordinator for Karine, JJ proved herself to be a valuable and trusted sidekick: starting off with only one influencer, the duo quickly turned the idea into an operational business that kept growing and growing! JJ built herself up from Coordinator, to Manager to now, Agency Director. Wearing many hats, JJ’s role consists of daily business operations and best practices, managing/growing the I+AM team, overseeing partnerships, leading accounting, managing a pool of her own talent, business development, and then some!
Breaking away from a corporate world setting, Kayla Prashad joined I+AM as a Talent Agent in March 2019. Her optimistic and enthusiastic personality makes her a great addition to the team – with a ‘never say no approach', she’s always ready to have fun but means business, and is a go-getter who is always up for a challenge.
Graduating from Marketing and International Business from JMSB at Concordia University, she studied abroad in England and fell in love with all things food, wine and travel. In 2017, Kayla landed her first job right out of school as a Marketing Coordinator at Laura – her interest in the fashion industry made it easy for her to dive into her new role. On the day-to-day, Kayla would spend her time coordinating campaign shoots and working on different marketing projects – always going above and beyond in everything she touched. Realizing she wanted to part ways with the corporate environment, Kayla later sought after a job that would spark joy! I+AM was the perfect match, as she still gets to be part of the fashion industry (amongst many amazing companies) and uses her people skills to work closely with her roster of creators and brands alike.
As a social media and marketing enthusiast, Kayla brings her passion of digital marketing and love of relationship building to I+AM on a daily basis; and is adored by the team and her talent.
A lover of words, trends and all things millennial, Erica Spina has been a part of the I+AM team since June 2019 as a Talent Agent. She knew at a young age that she had a passion for writing and words, which led her to graduate in English Literature at Concordia University.
Wearing many hats and trying out different jobs, Erica eventually joined the copywriting and editing world. Completing an internship at Pixel Society as a Community Manager was her first time dabbling into the world of social media: instantly falling in love with different platforms, Erica found herself quickly becoming influencer obsessed. Working freelance as a writer and then landing a full-time job at Valnet Inc as an In-House Editor, she knew she wanted to experience something more creative. Erica then went on to join the corporate world as a Copywriter at Stokes in 2018, which opened up a whole new love for not only all things kitchen, but for the fast paced and quick-witted writing that comes with e-commerce. It was while taking the lead on the company’s blog and social media page where she began collaborating with influencers for the first time, and broadened her understanding of the importance of building relationships! Realizing that the corporate world was too mundane for her excitement of life, she took a risk and decided to look for something completely out of her field: managing digital content creators.
On the day-to-day at I+AM, Erica brings her in-house brand knowledge, love of writing and relationship building to the team. She’s always looking at the brighter side of things in life and in her work – and will also be the one who asks you to ‘wait before taking a bite’ so she can “capture” the moment!
TALENT AGENT & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
As Junior Talent Agent at I+AM and content creator herself, Karine understands what it takes and guarantees that her talent roster gets the best deals! A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, she graduated from Concordia University as a Marketing Major.
Having mixed her love of fashion and her expertise in marketing and content creation, Karine has always kept her professional life close to what she knows and loves. As a Youtube Partner for five years, her interest in the digital world and media allowed Karine to turn a hobby of creating videos and content into a freelance job that has given her opportunities to collaborate with local organizations and work with various brands. With a wanderlust spirit and always dreaming up her next vacation, Karine then worked as a Content Creator at a travel startup. Quickly becoming familiar and adapting to the fast paced environment of a startup, her many tasks included creating engaging content for social media platforms, increasing brand awareness through ads, and solidifying the brand’s image. Karine also dabbled in retail, working as a Style Advisor at Aritzia. Her amazing style sense and love of fashion gave her an edge when it came to building relationships and a shopping experience for her customers.
Karine has been a part of the I+AM team since June 2019 where she continues to pursue her passions while utilizing her skills in her day-to-day; and shows unparalleled creativity and expertise in client relations and social strategies.
